Most guitarists have some type of pedal board which
has digital multi effects, amp simulations and speaker emulations. Typically
these have a stereo line out.
These usually sound great at home using headphones straight from the pedal
board or connected straight into your home studio or HiFi system.
Once you get on stage you then plug the pedal board into a guitar amp (in
mono) which flavours the sound depending on the make. It typically doesnt
sound as good as straight from the line out.
Why not consider abandoning your guitar amp for gigs and either plug your
pedal board straight into a dedicated small PA system or into the main PA
(if you have monitors)!
You would be amazed how good this can sound, using the pedal boards full
range of sounds without colouration.
