A very small and lightweight portable 20 watt PA system, easily powerful enough for up to 75 people in a small hall or room, or a close audience if out in the open air. It's not really loud enough for a spread-out audience if there's a lot of background noise to compete with. However, you can use up to four Speakezees together running off the same microphone, so you could have up 80Watts coverage equally placed over an area. Remember this runs on battery power too, so you could have four of them at head height around a primary school sports field, for example, or around a hall where wiring is a problem.

At only 14" high and weighing only 11lbs, this delightful little item is truly not much taller than the microphone next to it. It comes with three wireless radio microphones - a lapel mic, a headset mic and a handheld wireless mic. It has an inbuilt 12v battery, so can run from the mains or from the battery for up to 3 hours if mains power is not available. It also has an inbuilt cassette player/recorder.  You can also connect a guitar, or amplify an external music source such as an Ipod/MP3/Laptop (cables available).

How it works: the Speakezee contains a wireless radio receiver. The set comes with one belt pack transmitter which can be connected to either the headset or the lapel mic. The handheld mic contains its own transmitter. You cannot have all three mics in use at the same time, although you can switch between them quite easily as you hand over from one speaker to another. For example, the chairperson can be wired up with the lapel mic and the handheld mic can be passed around, switching between them as necessary. If you need more than one person to be able to speak at the same time, you can plug in a wired mic or another wireless microphone set (see our wireless mics page).

You can mix'n'match Speakezee Is and IIs as long as you let us know you want them all on the same frequency.

The Speakezee II MP3 is more up-to-date than the one above with an inbuilt MP3 player/recorder. It comes with a cable to connect to your PC so you can download  music. You can also transfer music using a Flash card. You can record direct to the MP3 and playback or upload to your PC - great for rehearsing, or for recording your own music and ideal for a teenager just starting to learn an instrument. It also comes with three wireless radio microphones for you to choose from - a lapel mic, a headset mic and a handheld wireless mic.

Carlsbro Traveller
